Our story
It started in the LEGO aisle at Target.
What started as one family’s Christmas lesson has grown into a movement of kindness, creativity and hope, one brick, one child, one community at a time.
2011
Giving means giving something you love.
Ben Glenn, known to a lot of people as the Chalkguy, took his daughters Christmas shopping and told them this trip wasn’t about getting toys for themselves. It was about giving to someone else. But once they hit the toy aisle, they wanted everything.
So he let each of them pick out a LEGO set they really wanted, then told them they were going to wrap them and give them away. It wasn’t easy. There were tears. But eventually something clicked.
That year we gave away 2 LEGO sets. The next year, about 50.
Since then, through churches, schools, families and friends, the Chalkguy Christmas LEGO Drive has reached more than 5,500 kids in hospitals with LEGO gifts that bring joy right when they need it most.

Host a service event
Bring a hands-on LEGO project to your team, church or school. We bring the bricks and run the whole thing. Your group builds sets for kids.
Donate your LEGO
New sets or a bin of used bricks. Drop off in Carmel, schedule a pickup around Indy, or ship from anywhere.
Give money
Every gift buys brand-new sets for kids in the hospital. Give by card, Venmo, PayPal or check.
